New York to Nashville Reblog! We pulled out listening to Kings of Leon’s “Manhattan” and arrived to Kings of Leon’s “Back Down South”. Fitting.
{MUSIC VIDEO} KINGS OF LEON “Back Down South”. I grew up sort of on the edge of “the south”, kind of a mix of this KOL video and this video. My youth is personified by neither, but I grew up around elements of both. I am quicker to tip my hat to the culture of the former. Interesting how vastly different it is from Manhattan where I live and love to living now. Anyway, this song doesn’t do that much for me (one melody line over and over) but the video is a total masterpiece. I don’t see myself living “back down south” again, but it’s fun to visit now and then. God bless ‘Merica.
* Change of plans! :) Priorities shift. And God can lead us wherever he wants us. THIS feels so right.

DIARY: New York to Nashville! So many emotions, unforgettable experiences and wonderful people. Up at 5am to hit the road and our sweet neighbor Antonia sees us off, waving from her window “I love you my dears!”. We’re so blessed, by so many. Pretty sure New York will always be my favorite city, and I’ll be back often for work, but we’re headed on to new adventures!…
