Happy Easter. Not that this sentiment does it justice. J e s u s c o n q u e r e d d e a t h t h a t w e m a y h a v e e v e r l a s t i n g L I F E ! // ▶Song: Ólafur Arnalds “Ljósið” // Art: “The Resurrection of Christ” by Paolo Veronese, 1570 // Who is Jesus? Worth a listen.
▶Emma Ruth Rundle “Arms I Know So Well”. Her voice, the album art, the chorus as a prayer.
▶Twin Shadow “To The Top”. LOVE this, on evert level. Best thing he’s ever done, next to the Chad Valley duet. I wish songs like this could still be mega-hits today, like it would have been a few decades ago. Brilliant little surprise offsetting the vocals on the second to last chorus. Ok, enjoy the free download. // ☐ by Walter Rosenblum
Haven’t posted a video in a while. Also, when I like a song a lot, rarely is there a cover I like a lot too. This is one of those rare instances. Great song + video. Warm season has finally begun. I loved being in the gritty city last weekend (fitting the last few posts) but I love living close to places that feel more like this video. I can’t wait to do plenty more waterfall jumping this year…
▶Manchester Orchestra “Cope”. This track is real. Rock will always be a part of my life. // ☐ by Peter Lindbergh
▶ Andy Bull “Baby I Am Nobody Now”. I love when awesome choruses get new layers of awesome each go-round. Great new jam from someone you’ve never heard of. // ☐ by Trent Parke
▶ Cymbals “The Natural World”. Love that chorus + sharp blast of synth. // ☐ unknown
